Money, Quotes and the $65 Off

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. Having us out to look at the drain costs $0, whatever the hour, and that includes public holidays. You pay for the fix, not the visit, so if it turns out we cannot help, you have not spent anything finding out.

What does "best price guaranteed" actually mean?

It means the quote we give is the one we defend. If another licensed plumber prices the identical job for less, bring us their quote and we will match or better it. Just as importantly, the first figure is a fair one, so the guarantee should rarely be needed.

What does "$65 off your first service" cover?

Any first booking with us, from a jetted stormwater line to a slow kitchen sink. The $65 comes off the final invoice, not off some inflated starting price, and there is nothing to sign up for to get it.

How do I pay?

After the work, not before it. The drain gets cleared and tested, then you settle the exact price you agreed to at the start. Because that price was locked in before work began, the invoice holds no surprises to argue about.

Who You Are Letting In the Door

How experienced are you with drains?

We carry 15+ years' experience, most of it on Sydney's older sewer and stormwater lines. Experience matters most on the drain that has been cleared three times and keeps failing, because recognising the pattern early is what saves you the fourth visit.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes: NSW plumbing Licence #292427C, and licensed and insured, water and gas. The licence number is public, so check it before you book. A legitimate plumber will never mind, and a hesitant one has just answered a different question for you.

Who actually turns up?

One of our own small, owner-led crew, never a subcontractor found for the day. Depending on the job it will be the director, who still works on the tools, or the drain-and-sewer specialist who takes on the blockages other clears could not shift.

What does the lifetime labour warranty cover?

Our workmanship, for as long as you own the property. If a repair or seal we made fails later, we return and put it right without charge. A brand-new blockage elsewhere in the line is a different job, and we will be upfront about which of the two you have.

When We Can Come

Are you really open 24 hours?

Yes, and it is a person who answers, not a recording promising a callback. Drains fail at unhelpful hours, so the phone follows suit. Ring at midnight and you can have a plumber organised before you have finished mopping.

What counts as a drain emergency?

Sewage rising through a floor waste, a toilet overflowing onto the bathroom floor, or sinks, shower and toilet all struggling together. If waste is coming up rather than going down, stop running water into the drain and ring straight away.

What happens after I call?

You tell us what is happening at your place, and you get an honest read on how urgent it is. We then lock in a visit, and the plumber who arrives finds the cause before any talk of money. Nothing begins until you have approved a price.

How do I book?

One phone call to (02) 9134 9067, answered whatever the hour, and the booking is made in that same conversation. If you prefer to start in writing, send the job through the contact form and a plumber will call you back to set the time.

Local Answers for Ryde

Why do tree roots block so many Ryde drains?

The oldest streets here, like those around St Anne's Anglican Church, were planted with street trees generations ago, and those trees now have root systems to match. A root only needs a hairline opening at a clay pipe joint; it follows the moisture in and thickens until the flow stops. Clearing roots without sealing their entry point simply reschedules the blockage.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

In general terms, the drainage on your property is yours to maintain, up to the point where it connects into the main. The main itself belongs to Sydney Water, and work on it is theirs to do. Take that as guidance rather than a ruling, since properties connect in different ways, and we will tell you plainly whose side the fault sits on before anything is quoted.

How local are you, really?

Local enough that the run between jobs is usually minutes. Most weeks the vans pass the TAFE NSW Ryde campus on Victoria Road more often than anyone bothers counting, and the same streets come up again and again in the diary. What we are not is a national call centre dispatching whoever happens to be closest.

What suburbs do you service?

Five neighbouring suburbs alongside our own: West Ryde, Meadowbank, Putney, Gladesville and Eastwood. The whole list sits inside the City of Ryde, so none of it is a stretch for the crew. Just outside those boundaries? Ring and ask; worst case, we point you somewhere good.
